Many business owners and inventory managers struggle with inefficient inventory tracking and management using Excel, leading to errors, time-consuming processes, and difficulty in making informed decisions. This hinders productivity and overall business growth.
The solution is an intuitive inventory management tool that replaces Excel, offering real-time tracking, automated reporting, and streamlined workflows. Users can create custom categories, sort by multiple filters, and directly crawl prices from online competitors. It also includes category management, user management features for adding and overseeing team members, product viability assessments, and system-wide variables. This comprehensive approach simplifies inventory processes, reduces errors, and enables faster, data-driven decision-making, ultimately enhancing productivity and business efficiency.
I was the lead designer on this project, overseeing everything from conceptualization to the final design. I collaborated closely with developers to create a user-friendly and intuitive tool. With multiple components involved, it required considerable thought and numerous iterations before finalizing the design. For example, designing the "Category Management" screen involved transforming a complex tree structure of categories into an interface that is easy for general users to understand and navigate, ensuring it was straightforward and not tedious to use.
